Payment & Delivery
We accept Visa & Mastercard paid to us through the secure checkout system. Payments are processed by Eway Online Payment Gateway. See Eway's website if you wish to learn more about their online payment system and security measures. Payment in full must be received before orders are dispatched.
Shipping charges may vary depending on the products ordered. Shipping charges are automatically calculated by the website and can be found on Your Shopping Cart page once you have added an item to your cart.
An itemised receipt is included in each shipment. If you do not want a receipt included with your order, please advise us on the customer notes at the time of placing your order. All prices quoted are GST inclusive where it is applicable, products with GST included in the price are indicated on the receipt.
Kiwi Shop ships to physical addresses within Australia only. Kiwi Shop cannot ship to P.O. Box, Parcel Locker, Locked Bag, addresses inaccessible to the general public or other similar type delivery addresses. If you live extremely remote and only have a P.O. Box, you may supply us with your local Post Office's street address and your P.O. Box number, if they are willing to sign for parcels on your behalf. Failure to provide an appropriate delivery address as described will result in the cancellation of the order.
Additionally, Kiwi Shop cannot ship to some Australian off-shore islands, including, but not exclusive to, Curtis Island, King Island, Lorde Howe Island, Norfolk Island, Thursday Island, and the Tiwi Islands.
Please allow up to three business days to process and dispatch your order. Orders are not dispatched on weekends, Public Holidays, Christmas Eve (24th Dec), and New Year's Eve (31st Dec). Additionally orders are not processed and dispatched on any day we have advertised in store or on this website as being closed during the Easter and Christmas holiday periods. Kiwi Shop will send your tracking number by email, generally on the day it is dispatched. We expect that you monitor the progress of your delivery.
Delivery Process and Additional Delivery Charges
Orders are distributed by Fastway Couriers or one of their shipping agents. An agent may include another courier delivery company or a participating business in their Parcel Connect system.
This service is not refrigerated. As a result, Kiwi Shop informs you that food products may be stored at temperatures above their manufacture’s recommendations, especially during the warmer months of the year. This may result in heat damage to some products, particularly, but not limited to, melted chocolates or products containing chocolate. If this is something that concerns you, you may choose to limit your orders to the coolest months of the year.
Normal delivery process requires a signature on delivery. Kiwi Shop accepts no liability for loss or damages to any goods if you give authority for the parcel to be left at the delivery address without a signature. If there is no one available to sign when the courier arrives, they will leave a calling card and return the parcel to their closest depot or your local Parcel Connect agent.
If your parcel is delivered to your local Parcel Connect agent, you will be required to pick it up from them. If you do not want your parcel left with the Parcel Connect agent for pick up and would prefer it was returned to the courier's depot, please advise us on the customer notes at the time of placing your order so we can pass this information along to the courier.
If you live in a rural/outback area off a main road, you might be required to pick up your order at your local Post Office. If this is the case, you will receive notification of a parcel awaiting pick up through your normal postal means.
Failure to respond to calling cards left by couriers or other attempts made by the courier, their agent or Kiwi Shop to contact you, or failure to pick up you parcel from the Parcel Connect agent or Post Office, may result in the parcel being returned to sender (Kiwi Shop) and you will be required to pay an additional shipping fee to resend. Multiple failed attempts made by Fastway Couriers or one of their agents to deliver, or supplying an incorrect delivery address may also require an additional shipping fee to resend.
Kiwi Shop does not offer an express delivery system. In addition, Kiwi Shop cannot guarantee the delivery day or period of any order, under any circumstances. Our delivery time for Australian destinations is generally between 1 and 10 business days, depending exactly where the destination is and what your requirements are. As a general rule, the further you live from the Gold Coast, the longer it will take to arrive.
Rural and outback areas have a longer delivery time and it may take the full 10 business days for your order to arrive. If your order has not arrived within 10 business days you need to contact us by reply email to your tracking number email or through the Online Enquiry form with your order number. If there are any unexpected delays we will advise you as soon as we are aware.
